Today is bittersweet, I am officially beginning a new chapter in my life. After working for the past three years as an Office Admin (and doing photography on the side for friends and family), I have decided to make the leap and start my own photography business.

I am excited (and scared) to start this new venture. I am looking forward to doing all the busywork to get my business up and running – website creation, portfolio building, branding, contracts, applying for licenses, etc. But at the same time, all of these tasks can be overwhelming. I don’t know how to do any of these things. Luckily I have a group of supportive friends that have offered to help me out in their areas of expertise. Having this wonderful tribe has made these tasks less daunting.

So here I sit, on this first day of my new venture. I can’t wait to see where this journey will lead me.
